thanks everyone for your kind thoughts for Steve and the family.
We somewhat expected it to happen soon as in 2014, but were still hoping things would change. She only got sick to the point she could no longer be independent the week before Thanksgiving last year.
We were able to bring her home to their apartment on Christmas day and cooked dinner for the family including Steve's cousin Ruth.
She was 85. This photo was taken last year by their church group and was put on some type of photo canvas like board, hence the roughness of what I uploaded.

His Mom up until about 2 months before she became ill was driving herself to local retirement homes on Sunday's to take care of older people that needed help. In fact, she was in the hospital last March and almost had to cancel the trip to AZ that Steve and I were going to take his parents to visit is sister and his nieces and nephews. She wanted to go so bad and felt enough up to it that she told the doctor she was going to sign herself out of the hospital, which she did. So we are so glad she was able to have one last week long visit with her Grandchildren last March. Their oldest Grandaughter in Washington state didn't make it back to visit in time, but will be here on Thursday.
Because of the major snow storm starting to hit us now here on the East coast, the memorial service is postponed until Saturday, and the burial until Monday morning.
