The glow might be from over sharpening....even the high pass filter will do that if too high.

I was looking directly into the sun when i took this photo. The sun was behind the deer which is why it seems to have a glow behind it. Thank you for your comments.

the only glow I see is on the fur covered antlers. So I think we are actually seeing the light hitting the edges of the fur.
