Sue, aside from some facial softness, particularly the eyes, apparent when enlarged, this subject has been nicely capture at 'the moment' and keenly cropped! With regard to softness, without tripod use, a suggested rule with telephoto's; shutter speed at least equal to the focal lens length in use i.e. (300 mm = 1/300 sec.) Then again, maybe this amount of softness has desirability. PS. You may wish to soften the halo at the top of the hat and clean-up some of the shoulder lines left from BG change, which, incidentally, is complimentary!

This shot just grabs me. Face, hat and pose just come together beautifully. I agree with Jerry's tips. If you use photoshop, you could try using the healing brush to reduce some of the blemishes and make the skin tone more angelic. Nice, in any case. -em
