This is only from my point of view but I think I would have cropped in just about in the middle of the image, removing the suns flare but not all the rays. I love the back lit flowers.

Per your suggestion, Susan, I toy'd with this crop subject ... without success. Perhaps I am missing your direction? If you have the moment would you kindly take this image down to your darkroom and create the example as you see it? As always, very appreciative!

I can see what Suzan means but I tried it and I must say I prefer the original - it looks too lopsided the other way (just my opinion).
In my humble opinion I like it just the way it is.
