Also at Shenandoah NP. one of the vistas as the sun rose into clouds, and then burst through in thin fingers of light that seemed to just touch the earth, showing the colours of fall.

Rob, Fabulous Scenic I dig the rays! Right place right time wouldn't change a thing about it.

    1. Beautiful! It's always exciting to capture the sun's rays in a scene such as this.

      Hi Rob

This is how rays should look IMO. Beautiful scene and well composed. Well done.

      Beautiful scene Rob...Great capture!

I think I would play with this a little in cuves and levals to add a touch of contrast though.

      Cheers, Joe

    1. thanks all. there was another photographer at this location, who left 5 minutes before the rays broke through the clouds. i guess there is value in perseverence...

      Rob,

the sun rays are just blowing me away. When I see this type of scene, I always tell my wife someone must be having a vision. You definitely did. It does need a tiny tweak CCW for the horizon.

      Beautiful view and well presented.

    1. thanks Kevin. it was quite spectacular. just for you, i also have a B&W version of a similar theme. i thought the rays added some nice contrast.
