this shot was taken last winter, at a reservior near my house, lol, breaking rules walking on the snow..
but i weigh(ed) a whopping 100-110 pounds, and the ice was at least 5 inches thick...lol

btw...don't judge the photo by the frame...but, if you think it distracts/adds...i'd like to hear your opinion

      well, enjoy

Love the shot, almost perfect in my eyes. Maybe the text font is a bit large but still it adds a nice effect. by the way, what font is it?

    1. I love the shot but found the frame distracting (before I even saw your comment about that). Nevertheless, it is a beautiful shot... amazing.

    1. Really nice shot. I like the sun effect. Did you use a special filter? I think the frame is distracting. The picture is too nice to have that much going on under it.

actually...i didn't use any filters...just shot normal, in full manual (if i remember correctly)

i have heard( just last night actually lol) that the star effect, is caused by the small arperture, and the..hmm..leaves? that make the arperture smaller effecting the light...

so yeah, to answer your question, no filter
      thanks for your comments!

    1. The most beatiful aspect for me in this image is the shadows and colors on the snow... beautiful glow and texture. It is difficult to comment on this image without saying something about the frame... the frame is so dominate and in my opinion steals a lot of the show. I would tone down its size considerably. There is a white spot dead center that I would clone out... I might also attempt to fix the bit of lens flare appearing on the lower left third. It is certainly not a factor at this resolution but I wonder at 10X8 or larger.

This is a gorgeous scene... my compliments for capturing such sweet light.
