      That's an hilarious title!

The photograph is interesting too, although I long for it to be in focus.

The way this is shot with the glare on the water, it has a very abstract look. The busy activity of the Koi add to the look. These guys look like my koi when i feed them. They certainly get crazy. My favorite part is the single fish with his mouth open.

      Sheila,

Thanks for appreciating the title. The fish at the bottom just seems to be yelling something at us..

As to focus, it seems fuzzier than the opriginal, but the water appears to be more in focus on the original since the fish are underwater. I'm not sure if I'm doing something to the focus when I convert to 800px, but would appreciate any suggestions.

      Kevin,

I wish I oculd say these are mine from my pond, but most of mine died off this year from the up and down winter.

And yes, he is my favorite too, and the subject of the title.

Well, certainly compressing an image as much as one does for here has a marked affect in the quality. I don't know how you're converting but make sure you still retain the maximum quality.

The title was the perfect choice for this image IMHO. It paints the open-mouthed fish as indignant which adds an anthropomorphic
twist to the shot. As Kevin opined there's an almost abstract quality to this but the locquacious loudmouth fights that trend. Quite engaging and humorous.

      Darren,
Thanks for appreciating the humor. The fact that most are oblivious to us, but one is screaming made me laugh out loud. I may have never chosen to use the pharse "anthropomorphic twist" due to my limited vocabulary... but, uh yeah.. that's what I meant!

Just re-read.. "locquacious loudmouth ".. man Darren, you're wasting you time on photography... you should write for the onion...

Loudmouth yes. Loquacious? I don't think so...I suspect this is a fish of few words, perhaps only two well chosen ones

or, "will somebody get me outta here" ...
what an unusual shot, that little fish does seem to be shouting, and trying to hold his own in the crowd...
      well spotted
