Printing b&w

Hi LEEarles. I've just bought a Photosmart 7760. I see you're getting great b&w results with your 7960. I'm delighted with the colour results but my first attempts at b&w white haven't been great. My fault, I'm sure. I'm a bit lost concerning the settings. Can you give me any tips, please?
Thanks.

printing in B&W

Forgive me if I am wrong on this..............it's been about 3-4 weeks the last time I printed in B&W on my 7960! But..........I use WindowXP to veiw my pictures as thumbnails on the right side then on the left side it should have a drop down menu and look for " Print Pictures" it will bring up Photo Printing Wizard. Select your 7960 then, go to Printing Prerences, Color Tab, Print in Grayscale High Quality. then OK. On Paper/Quality tab Rember to change the "type is:" to which ever paper you are using. And over on the Print Quality pull down get Maximum DPI and use that! I hope that you have an old printer around or a picture that you printed in B&W from your old printer to see the diffance! Good luck I hope this helps. If you dont like what you see play around some you will find the right setting for you! You cant hurt anything it's just using your paper and ink up. Remember to write down what you did with what picture. Have fun.................Lamont :> )
