This was taken at the same full moon as the M101 shot.....subsequently it is a bit washed out.......but then again, it's the best I have so far of this object.
It is M51...the whirlpool galaxy..its in the northern skies and about 37million light years away.


I have ordered some new software that has the capability of guiding my scope with camera and adds alot of processing power...hopefully that will help me to produce better images.....but until then, I still am having a blast with what I've got.
