The Moon
Hi Bud,
This is for you. I tried getting a picture of the moon using my 80-400 VR and the Kenko Pro 300 TC1.4. The tripod mounting on that lens is pretty shaky. There have been writeups about it. On my cheap tripod, it is really shaky. I shot this at ISO 1600 f5.6 1/300 sec to try and minimize the shake. Let me know what you think.
It was getting cold out there tonight, so that was my limit.

Ed, that is great.........that's better than I've seen alot of folks do with their scopes. That camera and lens really has alot of capability. It looks like everyone is switching at DPR.
I'm tickled when someone buys something that actually performs as advertised......you're going to have alot of fun with this camera.

Thanks Bud,
I am very happy with the lens. I want you to know that I really appreciate the suggestions and urgings that you and others have given me. What makes this hobbie great is the fact that there is always another mountain to cross. Thanks.
It looks like the natives are really getting restless over on DPR. I thnk that Jarrell getting a DSLR has really opened the can of worms. I am not sure that I want to post anything over there now. I had stayed away for a while, but I just had to share the capabilities if this new lens. Now I am sorry that I did.
