More comments please.
It would really be nice to get more comments about my landscape and portrait photography. When BP was much smaller, I was getting many more comments that helped me improve my photos and see the photos through other eyes. It seems now that BP is growing bigger and bigger every day, I get much less interaction with the viewers of my work. Thank you very much for your TIME and EFFORT......

my impression when looking at all the photos on your gallery is that like many people you tend to place everything directly in the center fo the photo and you shoot at eye level standing up.
I do not adher to the rule of thirds for every photograph but you can not break the rule for every photo either. Place your subject off center more often.
It is easy to get in the habit of shooting standing up but try to get down low for a different perspcetive, especially in landscapes. It is a little thing that will make your photos different from everyone elses.

Bagfan5 there are two things that come to mind
1) potw category seems to be getting more attention then the main gallery ..and with over 7000 photos and 10,000 comments its easy for a members gallery to get over looked unless they are regularly uploading or participating in the POTW / assignments categories … Possibly try linking one of your photos to a thread here in the ‘galleries forum’ and see if that increases activity in your main gallery area
2) also here in the US we just came off of our thanksgiving day holiday so that combined with the Christmas shopping rush I think some folks are a little more pressed for time
If you have any suggestions on improving the comment activity in the main gallery I would love to hear it.. You may add it to this thread or e mail me directly paul@bytephoto.com

Ok,,Ok.....I did it. now quit picking on me. Some really good shots in your gallery, I left my comments there.
As Paul mentioned, I look here for pictures that people want to particularly "show off"......I used to haunt galleries, but really don't have the time anymore.....I'm retired now and my hobbies keep me busier than when I worked twelve hours a day. Start some threads here....this is where you are inviting comments.
warmest regards,
bud
