Question What was your first camera?

hi

just like to know what was your first camera?
what other cameras do you have?

please post below.

my first camera was the digital nikon coolpix4300. i got it the start of this year. i have just begun using it more and learning the manual settings. so i am a newbie. :)

i am probably going to get a canon EOS digital camera in the future. they seem to be pretty good.

My very first camera was a Kodak 110mm (remember those????). I never like it because of the waiting time between pictures and film developping.

Many years later I got a Nikon Coolpix 995. hat changed everything. I fall in love with photography (yes my wife gets jealous sometimes). I recently got a Canon EOS 10D. Still learning how to play with this toy. I kept the CP 995.. for macros it has no par!

Wow, I have to think hard

I cant remember what my first camera was called, but I do remember it may have been known as a disk camera. The negatives looked like a disk. They were in a circle. The pictures were all square. After a few different cheap cameras I got a Canon T-50.... Wow, and I am not even 40 yet.....

I guess that my first camera was a old rolleicord (120 film not the 110 or 135) that was from my father. At the time (early 70's) he add a SLR Konica and 2 rollei's.

My cameras

The first photos I made were with a Canon A1 (not sure of the name) from my father, then I bought a P&S from Samsung to take to summer camps. Now that I earn some money :-), bought last year the Minolta dimage 7Hi and then last month replaced it with the Minolta A1, being a nice tool to learn.

As for my first camera, it was an Olympus OM 10, then an OM2n, and finally now in the digital era, and staying with the same brand, an E10.

My first camera was a Canon AE1 years ago. I did not use it much, shot maybe 1 or 2 rolls of film. Im not sure whatever happened to it, must have gotten lost in a move or something.

My next was an Olympus D340R digital. It was a point and shoot 1.3mp that I must have shot thousands of photos with. Then along came a Kodak DC280, then an Olympus C-5050 (which is an awesome camera) and finally a Canon EOS10D which I am still learning to use. I see great potential with the EOS.

My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic F, probably in the very early 60's. Used little self-contained film cartridges. I loved that thing and used it for years. It didn't take great pictures, but it did make good, clear snapshots.

Canon

Hi,

it was a Canon AE1 Program. A few days ago I gave it to a friend who goes to Nepal. It is still working. All Canon bodies (A1 and F1) are still working, I never had a problem.

My first camera was a Zeiss Ikon Contaflex IV SLR, made in 1957. I purchased it used in 1964 for $75. It's a great camera, and although, in the early '70s, I upgraded to a Mamiya with more bells and whistles (advance lever, etc.) I've held on to that Contaflex and I still have it. The optics are marvelous. Whenever I've loaned it out, I was offered a price for it, but have never let it go. Still have the case, too, a metal reinforced hard leather one (Strap long ago bit the wind, though. ;) ).

Icarus, my first digi was a Nikon 995, and I still keep it for macros, although I'm tending to use the 5700 for those, now. I'll probably sell the 995 eventually, but it's a great little camera.
