Check Your Galleries! Final Six for we 8/17.

As we slide into a new contest week with no final six posted I wonder once again who's minding the store.

However... the other week when a similar situation happened Darren (punwit) noticed an image of his posted to the contest in that week was marked as a "final six". He told me and I looked in my Gallery and one of mine was too. So someone had chosen the final six but just hadn't told anyone. They did do so eventually, so it became moot. But who knows this time?

I looked just now and my dive suits made it to the final six apparently.

So have a look, add them to this and then when we have six we can post them - assuming admin. has not.,

We could start a new forum thread for the voting but besides a reduced turnout the biggest drawback would be the change in anonymity. I can't think of anyway for a site-wide vote that would maintain the anonymous ballot.

Personally, I'd prefer a panel of some sort but the sticking point will be selecting the panel. I'm hesitant to suggest recent winners for obvious reasons but I'm at a loss, presently, to suggest any other even-handed vehicle for selection.
