Are We Falling Apart Already!!
It is Monday afternoon and normally there is 4 pages of new photos......We only have about a 1/2 dozen?
There are still fellow photogs here that need your feedback, and learn every week from your entries!
Thanks Joe

Joe, many people may not be happy with self appointed judges... frankly, I'm not. As fond as I am of this site and of many of the people here I'm not comfortable with the situation as it now presents itself.
There are people who may win on a given week who are by no means qualified to judge.
I'm afraid I won't be posting. When I put up an image juwt now I didn't know this unilateral decision had been reached by a handful of people.
Cheers and good luck to everyone,.
Sheila.

Joe, you've got to expect a certain amount of falloff when the site isn't operating according to specs. I think perhaps you didn't allow enough time for those folks that are dedicated to post. As with anything in flux you need to be patient.
Sheila, you need not be influenced by a makeshift comp. Your contributions to this site, photographically and commentary-wise, aren't degraded by folks attempting to run a competition while the admin are MIA. Personally I've never been presented with Stefan or Pauls bonafides and I actually prefer the fact that Kevin presented criteria for his selections and I see evidence of his bonafides every week. But, really the competition is just a sideshow for me at any rate. The feedback I get from all of you is what makes me wish to remain. Please remember that the constructive input here is what sets this site apart, at least for me.
Darren

I think That the only way for any of us that are not qualified to judge will get better at it is by practice and will likely get some opinions from those more qualified I'm not sure selling folks short is the way to go about it. Perhaps a spoon full of sugar and a helping hand While things get worked out and until Admin shows up would go a long way. I also think that this group is Intelligent enough to make good choices.

Sheila, No worries. I can understand that some fellow photogs feel that way.....But this site is for all of us! So if anyone still wants to post to the contest area for feedback, Just put "for feedback only" in the title line.
I think we are just trying to keep intertest in the site while admin is on a vacation....lol
Cheers and peace,
Joe
