Help for blurred photo
I am not sure I know how to upload a photo to this forum for discussion, but if you let me know how, I will try. The fact of the matter is I took a priceless photo of my grandchilds's expression during one point in his baptismal ceremony. He is 5 years old and the picture is a once in a lifetime expression. I have photshop elements 1 and work with Windows XP Professional. I hope this is not an unfixable situation.
Thanking any and all in advance for any assistance and suggestions.
Kindest regards,
ceebee

Bud,
I posted the photo in my gallery under ceebee. . . Take a look and see if anything is can be done. I think cropping would be suitable just to get the expression on his face, even in it the photo's blurred state.
Thanks again. . .

Ceebee.
Here goes.......I haven't tried working on something this blurred before......out of focus..yes...but this was motion blur...anyway here is my first attempt
Original
and the retouched:
let me know what you think....It was necessary to clone much of the right side of the face...but I think I was pretty close and held to the "look" that you liked.
Blurred the background a bit and lightened it a bit

Dear Bud,
Thanks for the time you took to fix this. . . It is better than the original. . .and with such blurr to begin with. . . it's a miracle, I think! What process did you use, although it's probably beyond my novice capabilities. . .
Thank you again!!!
Kindest regards,
ceebee

Ceebee,
I used a bunch of different layers.....used a couple to start with the blend set to multiply and opacity at about 30%....this then gave a little contrast to work with.
Necessary to clone much of the heavy blur out
Little repair to the right side of the face
crop
Neat Image.....and some other stuff thrown in.
Ceebee....if you'd like I have kept the the .psd file and can send you a higher resolution image than the one displayed.....just let me know....my email is in my profile.
