PNY Technologies Named A 'Mission Partner' And 'Flash Memory Of Choice' For National Geographic's Emerging Explorers Program Through 2010
PARSIPPANY, N.J. - October 24, 2007 - PNY Technologies® has teamed up with the National Geographic Society to be a Mission Partner and the "Flash Memory of Choice" of the Emerging Explorers Program through 2010, it was announced today. National Geographic Mission Partners are a select group of corporate partners whose business practices align with the Society's mission of inspiring people to care about the planet.

The three-year partnership kicks off with the introduction of a new line of PNY-brand high-speed flash memory products, including PNY's Optima Pro Secure Digital(TM) 133X Cards, Optima Pro CompactFlash(TM) 133X Cards, Optima Pro UDMA CompactFlash(TM) 266X Cards, SDHC(TM) Class 6 Cards and MicroSD(TM) Cards. National Geographic's Emerging Explorers Program recognizes and supports uniquely gifted and inspiring young adventurers, scientists, photographers and storytellers-explorers who are already making a difference early in their careers. To help the Emerging Explorers realize their potential, National Geographic awards each of them $10,000 for research and exploration. Each year up to 10 explorers are chosen from fields as diverse as anthropology, space exploration, mountaineering and music.
