Please help me....

Hi all, I got an assignment to be done with direct light source and indirect light source. 2 photos should be submitted and only 50mm lens can be used.

I have no idea about what direct light source and indirect light source can be captured for photographs… Please give me some idea. Thanks,
Kumaran

Why not ask whoever gave you the assignment what they had in mind?

If this is for a school project of some kind it might be best to get it from the horses mouth as it were.

Direct light source is usually when the light is pointed straight at something. e.g. sunlight on the beach, a flashlight pointed at something - whatever is captured in it's beam is directly lit.

Indirect light comes from the side or the back or bounced off a wall, ceiling, reflector etc. It is not the source of the light. e.g. think of a pool table. You can pot the ball in the pocket with a direct shot. Or you can bank it off the side using angles (indirectly).

Hope that helps. Gotta agree with Sheila though - if this is for a class, the instructor should definitely be providing the concepts before the assignment.
