I am new to DSLR photography. I have a Canon XTi. Can someone explain or give me some good easy to understand links for some of the basics like iso settings, shutter speed, etc.

Thats a pretty big request. ACtually, there there are several good books focused on your camera. For each topic you can also search the forums at http://photography-on-the.net/forum/ Which is a great site to learn about camera functions and lens choices.
