Photography Tips from Kingston Technology's 'Icons of Photography'

Photographers Around the World Look for Answers, Tips from Kingston Technology's 'Icons of Photography'
Global Audience Pose Myriad of Questions to World-Class Photographers

Fountain Valley, CA - August 15, 2007 - Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced it has posted the latest installment of Ask the Icon, an interactive feature that is part of Kingston's 'Icons of Photography' microsite. Questions submitted by photographers from France, Denmark, Romania, the United States and other parts of the world are being addressed by one of Kingston's four Icon photographers participating in the program: Harry Benson, Colin Finlay, Gerd Ludwig and Peter Read Miller. Site visitors are encouraged to ask questions relating to photo tips, techniques and equipment as well as general questions about the Icon's career and how they got started in photography.

"Kingston® has received tremendous interest in 'Icons of Photography' from all over the world and this sharing of thoughts and ideas is exactly why we created the program," said Jaja Lin, Flash memory marketing manager, Kingston. "We are getting great questions, that are diverse and thought-provoking and our Icons' responses are enlightening and educational. We're delighted it is such a helpful tool for learning about photography and taking better pictures," added Lin.

"The Internet has become a wonderful resource for sharing and obtaining information," said Harry Benson, world-class photojournalist. "Kingston's 'Icons of Photography' program has given me an opportunity to share what I know and learn from others including my fellow Icons and those from around the world who submit questions. The questions we've received are interesting and is an encouraging sign that photography in general is very much alive and well," added Benson.

Kingston's 'Icons of Photography' program consists of three elements: 20 Questions, Ask the Icon and Critique My Image. Through the program, professional photographers and enthusiasts can learn from the pros by asking questions and submitting their own photographs for constructive critique.

In September, Kingston will publish a second set of photo submissions for Critique My Image, along with individual comments from each Icon. Photographers who are interested in viewing images and their corresponding critiques or who wish to submit their own photos for critique, should visit http://www.kingston.com/iop for additional details.
