Lost Tools In CS2

Hi,
At wits end here ! I have Photoshop CS2 and have somehow lost the ability to use:
by tool button
=============
-spot healing brush tool
-healing brush tool
-Patch tool ( though i can't say what its for)
-haven't checked red eye tool yet
=============
-clone stamp tool
-pattern stamp tool
=============
-eraser tool
-backgroud eraser tool
-MAGIC ERASer TOOL DOES work out of that tool button.
=============
-blur tool
-sharpen tool
-smudge tool
=============

The list goes on but other parts are still working... ie brush tools.

i have uninstalled and reinstalled MANY times but there again there is something that stays in 'preferences' itr ALWAYS reverts back to my saved setting...(even spent two hours going through REGEDIT to zap out photoshop, CS2, imageready and bridsge references.

Does anyone have any idea what i may have done wrong?

Figured it out...
apparently not ALL my brushes were re-loaded and as a result when i chose the clone stamp tool it had nothing to paint with.

-a computer once beat me at Chess...but it proved to be NO match for me in a round of kick-boxing.
