Trade: my laptop for fisheye?
Hey guys.
Long story short, I got a new laptop off of a buddy of mine recently and although I was initially excited to get it, I am quickly realizing that I have no REAL use for having multiple laptops, so I'm gonna sell or trade it off for something else.
First of all, I wanna be forthcoming and let you guys know that they are 2 minor problems with the laptop:
1. The back-left corner is slightly cracked from when a shoulder strap on my friends record bag snapped and the bag hit the ground. The crack is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect the condition of the laptop whatsoever. Actually, the crack isn't even really that noticable unless you're examining it up close. It's no big deal.
2. When that happened, a couple of they keys popped out and we lost the clips that hold them in place. A computer store here in town quoted me $120 to get it fixed and I said **** that. I checked eBay and BLAM! I can get a whole new keyboard for $23 and it would take less than 60 seconds to pop the new keys on.
I never bothered doing that because:
A) the keys still work
B) they aren't keys you use very often
So yeah.
Now about the laptop itself -
It's a HP laptop with a dual-core AMD Turion processor.
1 gig of RAM, expandable.
120 gig hard drive, virus and spyware-free.
dual layer dvd burner
14.1" TRU-BRITE screen
glossy black finish with chrome accents and blue lights
built-in wireless
firewire
etc, etc. The thing is like 2 months old. My friend paid around $900 for it from Best Buy here in town.
I also should note that it comes pre-installed with Adobe Photoshop CS3.
I'd like to trade the laptop straight-up for a fisheye lens. I'd prefer the Nikon 10.5 mm f/2.8 but I would consider something else, even if by another brand. I don't mind a tiny scuff mark here and there but it must be optically and mechanically perfect!
Anyone is more than welcome to come check out the laptop in person. (Evansville, IN) Here is a pic of the cracked part, close-up:

As you can see, there's a small crack to the right side of the image and a piece of silver plastic missing. Not exactly a big deal.
I really, really, really want a fisheye lens. If anyone out there is up for making the trade, let me know ASAP before I sell the lappy outright for cash.
I have numerous references from various forums as well as eBay and personal references. I've been buying and selling stuff online for 10 years now so no worries!
