BytePhoto Takes long to load?
Is is just my system or does this website take forever to load now? I have reinstalled a fresh windows os and still this website takes a minute or more on any click that I do. Has something changed on the site or is it just my system? I did notice the animation ads at the top of the site. Could this be the reason? I am running a 1.4gig htz system with 1 gig of memory. Almost getting to the point where I think twice about veiwing anything on here. I have always enjoyed this website, but almost hard to use now due to the load time. I don't experience this with other sites. Is my system specs to low for this site?

I have also noticed the site is busy or slower loading lately. Since I have 3gb of ram, a high speed connection and a brand new computer, I think the problem is related to the current server. This is a great site, but load times = less visitors, so hopefully the site management will be working the problem.

Slow.
Thanks for replying. I though for a minute it was my connection or computer. I hope they do take note. Would be a shame to loose photographers from this site.

Me too…. byte photo is running slower on my computer and I put it down to adware/spyware or something slowing things down. I’ve also noticed , just recently if I type a username into the search engine to view a particular gallery I need to repeat the operation over and over and only sometimes will the relevant gallery appear.

I have a super computer setup, test regularly for adaware, but have found just recently that this site takes too long for me to bother to wait. Such a shame - I like looking at the pictures, but the frustration level is now too high. The main problem seems to be downloading "renmedia.com" - I assume this is the flash ad for Phase one.
Can you shed any light Mr. Larson.
Thankyou, Mary

There were some issues with the banner server being a little slow … however that should be resolved now
