blurry background in h2

does anyone have any tips on taking pics with the sony cybershot h2 and acheiving blurry backgrounds? i have tried many different settings including adjusting my aperture settings with no avail. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

I suggest putting your camera on macro mode (or getting in close to your subject) then zoom in and focus on your subject having the background scene around fifteen feet from the foreground subject.
You may need to play around with how far the background is (bigger the distance blurrier) and how far away from your subject you are.
