My China Photos
It was only during my March 2006 trip to China that I started shooting digital thanks to my daughter who lent me her Pentax rangefinder digital 750Z while she used her Pentax *ist DSLR. Before this my travel photos were mainly slides from my film Canon EOS SLR using mainly Kodachrome - I'm still waiting to get a suitable scanner to transfer them to image files.
The China photos are at my no-frills site: http://andrask.50webs.com/index.html
It's apparent that no post-shoot processing at all was done except for cropping and downsizing. So the photos won't win contests but are a spontaneous record of a memorable trip.
China is certainly a big country, full of variety, colour and photogenic subjects. I hope to make a return visit soon, now that I've got my own digital gear based on the Canon EOS 400D.
Comments and feedback are of course welcome.

Thanks for sharing Andrask. Lovely shots in there. Your Great Wall 'off side' is super and some of the ones you caught in the Li Valley will be stunning with just a tiny bit of post-processing. I particularly like the one framed by leaves and reflecting the mountain in the pool in the foreground.
You've certainly added China to the list of places on my very long 'still to visit' agenda.

Andrask,
Thanks for taking us along your journey. I particularly enjoyed your pictures of the Great Wall and Terracotta Warriors. I think it was a good mix of modern China/Hong Kong and historical buildings/artifacts. I'm actually going to China next August for the Olympics and after seeing this, I really can't wait to start clicking away. Thanks again!
