Hello!
Hey everybody, I'm new here, so I'm just saying hi!
I'm the proud new owner of an Olympus MJU300 Digital, and I'm also fairly new to digital photography, so I joined here in the hope of reading all about it and learning new things from all you digital photographers!
I have been taking lots of photos with my MJU and am "learning" slowly about all of the basic photography stuff like composition, lighting, etc.
Can any of you offer tips to a newbie that will help me on my way to taking better photos?
Thanks!
Howard

The greatest thing about a digital camera is that there is virtually no cost to take the photos. Because of this, the best advice I could offer to someone just starting out is to take lots of photos and then slowly make changes to your style until the photos are what you want. Try lots of different types of pictures. You may find you you enjoy (and are good at) a type of photography that you never thought about.
As far as technical training, there are many good books out there for both the photography side and the post-processing (normally PhotoShop). The books can help but sites like these can give you the same, or better, information if you ask the right questions. Good luck, I look forward to seeing some of your work.
