Canon 400d / Rebel Xti

Hi. I have just bought a new Canon Rebel XTi AND THE RESOLUTION is incredible, However on some pictures when I use flash an Manual settings I see some White DOTS or artifactsn on the Pictures, I was wondering if my camera is deffective or normal

The number of artifacts could go over 50 Dots per pictures.

Congrats on your new camera 10mp is great isn't it?

I have a Nikon D200 myself (having held both of them, the D200 is by far my weapon of choice)

Hard to pinpoint exactly what your problem might be, can I suggest you post some images in your gallery (with the dots as you describe them) and link them back here, for us to have a look at and attempt to assist you.

I find that for non-critical purposes the flash in any of the relevant auatomatic modes works well in terms of exposure and is free of artifacts. Have you tried using this mode as a check?
