Ruth, I'm stoked you got a copy. I think it's a fine magazine, and am priveledged to be in it!
I don't know what it is about Black and White. Colour is soooo pretty, but I'm passionate about Black and White.
Thaks again!!
Mike, Felicitations..... what a nice word, like so much of the French Language!! Muchas Gracias!!

Fantastic news Carolina.
Congratulations!
I know of your passion for your art, of your continued learning and application of your studies, and the end result (such as this one) is basically just a matter of time.
It's not just a great camera and prodigious study that garners these sorts of results, it's having an eye, learning from your mistakes, application of what you know and have learned, persistence and much shooting.
You really deserve your awards and rewards Carolyn. Good luck into your future.

Carolyn,
I picked up a copy of the mag...I must say, out of all the great photos, yours has to be one of my all time favorites. The judges knew what they were doing when they awarded you with the gold, and the merit shot ain't to shabby (-:.
Congratulations, makes me proud to be a part of a community with such accomplished photograhers...
Sam

Way to go Carolyn!!! I left a comment and vote at your Gold award image. That image made me realize how blessed we photographers are to be able to share such scenes that many would never be able to actually visit. I'm sure that your experience out there under the stars was at least equal to the excitement of being awarded for your work. The rest of us can only image what it must have felt like.
I subscribe to B&W so had already seen your images along with all the others. But after reading your note here, I picked the mag up again with renewed interest and enjoyed it once more but with a sense of pride that one of our own was right there at the top.

Thanks Sam, it's a great mag, hope you enjoy it! BTW, the other pic is a Bronze.... it was the first one I saw. They did not tell us what placings we were awarded, simply that we'd got in the mag... you can imagine how thrilled I was to see a Bronze placiing, I actually pulled off the road, then saw the Gold.
Hi Frank, I'm not sure which is best, being there, or looking at our work when it's first opened, or when it's done. It's all good. I'm tickled that so many are actually getting the magazine. I learn a lot from this publication!
Thanks Kevin. It's finally sinking in now, and I'm pretty proud. We should get together for a photo shoot sometime..... we are neighbors after all!
Gary, thank you. I'm sure you'll enjoy the magazine. Again, I'm honoured that you are going to get a copy!!! It's exciting to share this with you all....
Carolyn
