has anybody tried out or used the new nikon d80? the description sounds just fabulous, it has everything that i am missing on my d50 (although it is a wonderful camera and takes brilliant pictures). is the d80 worth considering? i heard some people saying it makes very soft pictures that need a lot of sharpening? true?

I can't offer an opinion on the camera itself, but in case you do end up getting one.. I have one up for sale. It was given to me as a gift, but i am happy with my D70. I would rather put the money towards a trip I'm planning. It is still sealed / in box. If you're interested, feel free to shoot me an email! mariaellaine@gmail.com
