My wife is ready to kill me becasue I selected the DSC-P200. It was been nothing but a problem from day 1 and a lot of memories turned out so badly as to be ubuseable. The latest, she was taking pictures, indoors, at a party. Flash went off as it should. Foreground subjects are properly ill=uminated but the flash is so intense it casts shadows on walls 10-15 feet away and creates a very distracting dark halo effect. Any way to get a more diffuse light from the flash? Is this halo unavoidable? A matter of technique?
