Need help finding a good digital slr under $700

I have been looking at several SLR's and am not sure since i am not a pro photographer. Right now i have a fuji F11 camera now and i like its compact size but for our upcoming trip which is our honeymoon we are visiting orlando and seeing all the parks. I want a good camera that i can tote around that wont be to heavy but at the same time will take great photos and will also take photos at night. I need a good night camera. I realize there are tons of lights around the parks but i do want some good night photos that i dont need to use a flash for so that the lights show up well. I also do alot of christmas photography of christmas lights.
I have looked at the fuji S6000fd but i dont like that it uses AA batteries i dont want the hassle of batteries i want the battery pack lithium ion like i have now it last a long time and recharges fast.
I need the lens and camera to be in that price. I can go more but would prefer not to.

I don't know where you're located, but if it's in the US, then
you can get the Nikon D50 with the kit 18-55 lens for well under $700US. The 18-55 is an all-purpose lens that does well for landscapes, scenery and night shots. It took this one of fireworks...

Many of the others in my gallery have been shot with it too. You can easily add lenses later (make great Xmas presents). I've got a 70-300 telephoto and a 90mm macro.

Hope that helps. Good luck and enjoy the honeymoon!

I'd definitely recommend the Canon D60. I just picked one up last week on Ebay for a bit over $AU500. Takes great shots, especially at night.

Check out my gallery to see the quality of photos it is able to take.
