Is there any fairly good free image editing software. I have been trying lot of softwares and now wants to settle on one for good.

I don't know of any good free ones, but I believe that you would do well to purchase Photshop Elements. This package will take a little effort to learn, but it has all of the basic editing tools of Photoshop. By learning PS Elements you will be all set to eventually graduate to the full version of Photoshop. If you are going to stay with digital photography, that is really the only way to go.

Try old versions of Products

What you may try is to buy old versions of Good products. For instance. Ulead PhotoImact 8 ( the new version ) is running around 100 dollars here in Germany. Well, I saw the Ulead 6 for 9 dollars the other day BRAND NEW in ORIGINAL PACKAGE. That way, you get quality for CHEAP...... Just an IDEA

The seller has reasonably good feedback and for $13.99 it might be worth a shot.
