Unhappy File size on sony W 70

I Just purchased a new sony cybershot w 70. for now i don't have a memory stick. I intend to get one soon. My question is, the size of the file that is saved on the camera wen the pic is clicked is too large around 1.8 MB for a 3 MP shot. as such on the 56 MB internal mem can hold only a few pics. i can reduce the size of the pic after i cfer it to a computer. Is there a way to get the file size down wen the pic is taked itself? That way the internal memory can hold more pics. Please help.

I really dont think there is a way to compress your file smaller without losing resolution.
Memory cards are getting cheakper these days.
Maybe if you cant afford a 1 gig you can get a smaller one for now.

Try http://www.zipzoomfly.com
They usually do free shipping but possibly that free shipping could only be in the US, but you could always look to find a good price
