Band Photography

I go to a lot of my friend's bands gigs and I love to take photos. However, I'm having a bitof an issue with blurriness and lighting.

I am using a FujiFinePix s7000.

My photos come out like this when I use flash:

And like this when I use "Nightmode"

Is there any way to get a happy medium? I like the lighting effect in the blurry ones, but I like the clearness of the ones you can actually see!
