I am thinking of getting a minidisc player by Sony at the same time I want to get a digital camera. Eventually I came upon this:

Is the 1.2 MP good enough to make it a worthy camera? My dad has a 5 MP camera which takes good pictures (at least according to me), and I would probably only take pictures sparingly, so should I get it?

BTW, could somebody show me pictures taken with a 5 MP camera vs. a 1 or 2 MP camera (just for comparison)?
