Battery level indicator

I just bought a Kodak Z700 and i cant seem to find where it tells me how much battery there is left, only when the battery is flat a little icon comes up. I cant see it anywhere. Am i blind? Is it actually there somewhere?

If I understand you correctly, and if your camera is similar to my Kodak (I have the z740), there is no battery level indicator. Like you said, the indicator only appears when the batteries are low.

I think that's just Kodak's design. I could be wrong, and anyone knowing otherwise please correct me if so.

I don't find it to be too big of a nuisance. Just make sure you ALWAYS have some spare batteries with you when taking pictures. You'll always be safe that way :-)
