Macro Lenses - Need Wide without the cost
Hello,
I have a DSLR Pentax ist* less then a year old.
I was wondering if anyone could help in understanding the fisheye macro lenses you can put on the end of a 18-55mm lens. I have seen these on Ebay for cheap. I can not afford the 10-20mm for $500 or so at this time.
Does anyone have photos posted with these type of macro lenses?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Don't confuse a fisheye with a wide angle lens. The fish eye gives the distorted 'wrap around' look.

Hi Matt,
I looked at your gallery and you're doing pretty well without the extreme wide angle.
The 10-20 is a pretty expensive size. Maybe you should look at higher focal lengths. I see that they have 18-200mm sizes. That's almost a do anything lens. Then get a wide angle for those rare occasions.
When you're ready to move ahead I would stick with name brands and reputable dealers. Even if it is a few dollars more.
I've used B&H, Unique and ephotocraft without any problems.
I have also used ebay and I've been lucky.
My advice is to save your pennies until you can afford what you want. Better to wait and get it right than get messed up.
Frank
