I heard from a friend with Sony buying Konica Minolta that the 7d has been discontinued. Is this true? I am having a hard time finding it.
I've been waiting for my bonus check to pick pick this up and now I'm ready to buy. Should I pick one up, if I can find it or should I wait. I have my Minolta lens collection and definitely don't want to toss them.

I hadn't heard anythnig about the 7D being discontinued. However, I know that most camera shops only stock the 5D, which has become more popular. i'm not sure of the difference in features/resolution, but I have a 5D and love it. All of the pics in my gallery were shot with a 5D. Any technical/compositon mistakes in the photos were my fault, not the cameras!

I stopped by a Ritz Camera store today and asked about the 7d. The salesman told me that the camera wasn’t necessarily discontinued, but it was a limited production of only 10,000 for the United States.
