Fujifilm FinePix F650 Zoom

The FinePix F650 Zoom: slim, but fully-loaded
A neat compact camera boasting six megapixels, a 5x optical zoom and super-size 3-inch LCD screen

Fujifilm today announced the launch of the FinePix F650 Zoom – an ultra-smart compact merging strength and elegance to form a neat and enviable package.

The latest addition to Fujifilm’s well-established ‘F’ series, the FinePix F650 Zoom delivers six megapixels, handy for those keen to enlarge images. What’s more, this stylish and functional camera is the first Fujifilm compact to contain a 5x optical zoom lens, ensuring its owners are never far from the action.

The FinePix F650 Zoom is a sociable, picture-taking companion, thanks to its super-size 3-inch LCD screen – ideal for viewing menu options and sharing images with friends on the spot. What’s more, there’s added capacity for storing precious pictures, as this all-rounder comes equipped with built-in internal memory.

As has become commonplace on FinePix cameras, the FinePix F650 Zoom captures 30 frames per second when set on movie mode, giving smoother, clearer video clips. It also contains an ISO sensitivity range of 64-400, allowing it to handle everyday lighting conditions.

The camera boasts easy-to-operate scene modes, allowing users to choose from up to ten automatic settings, suiting a variety of photographic situations. These include a Sunset mode that emphasises vivid colours, a ‘Beach and Snow’ mode for minimising glare in bright situations, and a ‘Party’ setting for indoor environments, allowing images to retain the natural ambience of the scene in low-light conditions.

FinePix F650 Zoom features at a glance

* CCD sensor delivering 6.0 million pixels
* 5x optical zoom lens
* High resolution 3.0” LCD monitor
* 10 selectable scene positions for different shooting conditions: Portrait, Landscape,
Sport, Night, Beach & Snow, Sunset, Museum, Party, Flower Close-Up and Text
* VGA movie capture of 30 frames per second with sound
* PictBridge™ compatible for direct printing without a PC
* Internal memory

Adrian Clarke, Fujifilm’s Director of Photo Products, said, “The FinePix F650 Zoom combines panache with a surprising amount of power. This stylish compact is a perfect pocket companion for less experienced users who want results that belie their knowledge. It contains a powerful zoom usually reserved for SLR-shaped models, as well as a sizeable LCD screen to share or view photographs instantly – a great all-rounder.”
