Photoshop CS2: Raw images are brownish

I was wondering if anyone had the same problem I'm facing now. The raw images in photoshop CS2 are dull in color, kind of brown.

Please help. Thanks in advance.

George

I'm not quite sure what you mean by a dull brown colour but, since RAW images are comprised of unprocessed data they tend to be dull in colour and soft,as such, they are often referred to as,"digital negatives".Therefore,it is up to you to saturate the colours, adjust levels, curves and sharpen...etc.Hope that helps

Well when raw images are open using canon's software the pics looked astonishing, vivid in color but when open in photoshop is the opposite.

Are your shots shot indoors? You usully always get warm pictures indoors. If your using Photoshop when you open the image just change the temperature to a lower number, say for instance if the temperature is 5700, change it to 5450 and so on.
