Angry Please help, my usb or my cam. might be broken?

Hey guys,
This is the first time I have been on here so please excuse me if i sound all confused. I use my FinePix s3100 to take pics of everything and anything, pets, holidays the works. Well if any of you live in new england, you know we just had 2 ft of snowfall. Well, i don't know if my USB is broken, or its inside of where the USB cord goes into my camera , but i usually upload pics onto webshots/shutterfly, and it isn't working. Usually i hear a "da-ding!" when the USB is attached, and then i know if its working...well. someone please help!!

and..is this expensive to fix?

thanks for your help !

so you were able to get the photos on your pc if you said you weren't able to upload them on the internet. If thats the case it just might be a problem eather with your conection, or with the uploading page.

and if you weren't able to put the photos on you pc, you could always but another USB they cant be that expansive. and if that doesnt work go to the camera servis and ask them if they can check your cameras USB "hall". and if they say evrything is ok then the problem is like you said probably your pc's "hall"(where the USB goes in). thats all i know hope it helps.

yeah, basically when I upload them onto the computer once i put the USB in, it goes "ding!" then pops onto the screen. but this isn't happenning and i don't even think its the actual cord, its probably the digicam it self. so you think it will be expensive....
