I got up at 2am to take shots of Mars....Nikon 5700 hooked to a Celestron Ultima 2000 8"....but really bad skies.....lots of moisture content and high clouds.

So, I shot some of the moon...even then the clouds covered and uncovered over the moon.


This is the high desert of calif. and we are supposed to have clear skies....and now it looks like a storm is coming in from Las Vegas.

Well...maybe again in a couple of days.....I've been trying for about a week for Mars.

I imagine you feel pretty proud taking a pic of the moon like this.
