Question DS- 5080 - maximum SD-card capacity ?

Am curious as to the max' capacity of the DS-5080

On the actual packaging it says the max: SD-card is 1gig.

however...official site:
www.premierimage.com.tw/premiere/003/003_DS5080.htm

say its just 512mb ?

Anyone use this camera with a 1gig card?

Further issue...
Does having more memory draw down on the battery any faster?
I realise the memory is solid state and doesn't need power when switched off, but does more memory drain the battery when in use?

many thanks

SD Cards

If your thinking of shooting quite a long video or browsing through 1gig of picture s in sd memory using the tft screen then i would imagine the battery power not lasting, ive only got 64mb sd memory and shoot and browse pictures all week then empty the memory to the pc and recharge the camera at the end of each week moreless.
