No need to be sarcastic Tommy, but yeah it's a bit disconcerting when you have lots of views and no responses...

So I'll have a go...

I use Lexar media, tho I have a D70 Nikon DSLR...not quite the same box of apples, I know...however Sandisk, liek Sony commands fairly high prices generally because they're the best known, and are also fairly quick...you pay more for quicker writing and read cards...try Lexar, Kingston, Samsung, Transcend, Dane, Centon, and i'm sure there's others...

You could also buy slower speeded cards if the read/write time is not too important...and this only comes into play when you shoot highest res on your cam and in continuous mode like 3 fps or faster, or when you wish to transfer images to a pc or mac quickly.

Good luck

I have the 1gb sandisk memory stick pro, and cant fault it. Its the best non sony option.

How much have you got to spend?
You can get it for around $60

around $60 is fine. I just didn't want to buy a sony cause from what i have seen there abour $80 to $90. Write speed isn't that important but i don't want the slowest thing. so i figured the sandisk would work fine. Also what is the deal with the duo cards. just so you can use them in 2 different cameras?

Thanks for your replys.

The difference between the 4 different types are:

The memory stick and memory stick duo use the same technology and software but are different sizes/format, and are used for different devices such as phones, where the memory stick is usually used in larger things such as cameras. However u can get an adapter where the duo will fit in the memory stick.

The other 2 which are not compatible are the pro versions.
Same principle applies but they are much quicker and have better transfer rates, using magic gate technology. And dont work in non pro devices.

Theres not much point in buy the duo, and using the adapter so i suggest the memory stick pro.
