FinePix E510 locked-only shows USB icons

HELP! I connected my E510 to the computer (running XP) via the included cable, and it showed the USB icon, and the small card and DSC transfer icon. Now that it was properly stopped and removed from the computer, the camera display only shows that same icon, as if it were still connected, and no matter what I do I can't get it to return to normal camera mode. Is there a way to manually reboot or something of that nature? For right now all it lets me look at is a black screen with those icons, regardlessof if i remove the batteries, the card, toggle the power, or switch cards or batteries.
