What camera should I use?
I was curious as to what people thought about the D100 vs. D1X or D1H. Could I get by with the D100 for professional grade photos? I am wanting to get into a more professional grade of photography and I'm sure that the the D100 is great, but would the D1h be better for that? Or perhaps investing in the D1X. Its quite a bit more and I'd like to get great quality but be economical too. Is the D1X that much greater to be 2 times as much or is the D1H that much greater to be abou 1.5 times the price of the d100? Thanks for any help. If you could, email me at hoosiercajun@yahoo.com as I'm not sure I'll be able to get on here after coming off the rig for work. Thanks again.

All of this really depends on what you want to use the camera for. If you need a camera that is a bit more rugged then go with the D1x, otherwise the D100 will do great. I've used both (own a D100) and the quality of the image you get is the same IMO. The optics are the key, if you buy the D100 you might be able to buy better lenses with the money you save. If you want more info email or PM me.

Since, you are experienced with the D100, how often do you have to clean the sensor. I am seriously considering the D100, and am concerned about having to clean the sensor. Thanks.

I really don't know how often I HAVE TO clean it because I clean the entire camera and sensor before each photo shoot which is about once a week. Cleaning the sensor is no big deal though. Just use a baby bulb (the one they use to suck snot from baby's noses) and give the sensor a little puff. Really nothing to it. I really haven't had a single problem (knocking on wood as I type). Let me know if you have any other questions.
