think you need to change your subject heading.
It should say
Photographers NEEDED
I only looked at your landscape photo gallery on the site and I must say, I wasnt impressed. I think I remember only 2 off the top of my head that were at least somewhat good, but most have blown out skies, no real composition.
If your website is going to take off at all you need to set your standards higher ;)
There is one stock photography site out there that I've heard from other photographers has stopped accepting just anyones pics because it was causing them to lose customers.
just a helpful suggestion

Thanks..
For your kind suggestions. Were you looking at our royalty free photos or the managed photos?
BTW, if you dont like it dont contribute.. with that attitude im sure you dont sell many photos.
In response, yes photographers are NEEDED. We are just in the very early stages of building our business and we are confident our good images will overshadow the poor ones.
We are for real and here to stay.

my comment was meant as a helpful suggestion since it seemed you were just starting out your website. I was just surprised to see some photos that I thought if many others looked at in the landscape area would not rate high in contests. I dont know what area it was posted, just know it was in the landscape category.
You're wrong about me selling photos.
I have sold quite a bit of my work in only the first year that I started selling and just this past Oct published 4 times in separate media venues in 3 different states.
I am not the type of photographer that contributes to any stock photo site because I dont want to have someone buy my photo, download it and have the ability to print it where ever they want. Some people like selling their work to stock photo sites, its just not something I am into.
I mentioned about the other site because a photographer friend who belongs to that site told me of how the stock photo site he belongs to is beginning to take down many of the uploads because of the poor quality.
So thought I would pass that along to you so you could avoid the issue the other site has encountered ;)
Your website is very professionally done so its obvious your company isnt a company that will come and disappear in a year.

I just went back to look at your site again to see if I was looking at royalty free photos or the managed photos. Turns out I was looking at the royalty free images.
The managed photos section the images are so much better than the royalty free side of the landscape area.
As for the comment you mentioned "confident our good images will overshadow the poor ones"
You probably know which images on the royalty free side I was talking about, but maybe you should take off what you consider poor images and only leave up those you consider worthy to sell.

Hey Thanks...
for the feedback. I was hoping the less attractive images would get burried on the RF side once things got rolling. You do however have a vailid point and we are going to review some of the images.
Our primary focus is on the RM images. The RF is just there for the poeple who prefer a cheap image. Our RM content is growing quickly and the quality is far better.
On that note... our RM images are sold with limited use contracts. We have laywers and will enforce any misuse of our photographs and we have invested significantly in our technology infrastructure and operations.
I like your hesitant attitude and I think its people like yourself that we need to turn in order to make this work for everyone. Our commissions are very fair and we take every photographer and customer very seriously.
We would enjoy having yourself involved. Constructive critisisim will only help us move forward. Please contact me dave@stockphotoking.com if you are interested.
Cheers.
