Unhappy C-4000 Lens not working properly at power up

Hi all - when I power up my C-4000 the lens goes out and in as useful - except it now sticks on the inward journey and the camera beeps furiously. The camera then tries again 2 or 3 times and eventually just gives up the ghost. It wont even retract the lens fully to power off.
Its been working perfectly till today - and I've not dropped it etc. So any ideas?

TIA

Jonathan

Same Thing!

My C-4000 has worked like a charm (and I love it) until yesterday and the lens quit. Doing EXACTLY the same thing yours is.....any ideas? Or do we just ship them to Olympus for repair?

Thanks,
