While using a Dimage Z5 to review my pictures in the playback mode, I mistakenly selected the FORMAT menu option. My disk has been reformatted and the pictures are now gone. Is there any way to access the pictures? I had not yet saved them to my PC.

I am only new to Digital Photography but even with my limited knowledge I would suggest that if you have truly "Formatted" your card then ALL is lost as I use a DiMAGE Z1 and after I download all of my photo's taken I have followed my Camera Instruction Manual and "Formatted" my card to make sure it is completely cleared for future shots.
