photo slide show
I have looked at a few different programs that make photos into slide shows, and I can't seem to find exactly what I want. I hope someone here can help me.
My grandfather entrusted me with some slides and photos aging back to the 20's. He wants me to "make them show up on the television so I can see them". While after months of editing them, I am now ready to burn them to a dvd......... the only problem is, I can't find a program to do just that. I have seen programs to burn them to cd, but even then they seem to not be able to adjust the time shown on the screen, backgrounds, etc. I am going to need the pictures to move very slowly because his eyesight is bad.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Is is too late to post a reply?
I think this software - DVD SlideShow Builder are quite worth to try.
www.photo-to-dvd.com/dvd-slideshow-builder.html
The disadvantage is that's a shareware, not for free.

hello I can advice you a tool from geovid.com website, Its called Presentation To Video Converter. If you will make a powerpoint slideshow, add muzic if you need and everything, after that you can directly burn this slideshow to DVD, coz there is a special option. But the main problem that it cost!! 199.95 USD! You can ask them for a discount! +)))

uh, I found there probably a better solution for you!
It`s 29.95 USD (also there is said that with your offer thay can really provide you 20% discount.. hehe, you just have to contact them)
So!
at presentavid.com there is another tool called ImagedVideo. Its much more easy to use, everything is simple there, I just tried it.. (coz there are software which you can try for free, its fully functional and doesnt have any time limitations) So maybe it will fits you more (and your grandpa)
You just add all the fotos in the list, add music, effects and make a video file, which you will be able to burn after that.
hope i`m useful

look at "Photo slideshow ShowMe"
I have ever used this software"Photo slideshow ShowMe" to share my photo with my friends. it is very easy to make attractive photo slideshow. You could download it at photo-slideshow-showme.com.
The short-coming is that it don't support burn to dvd/cd. but I think you could do buring by other burning software. the slideshow performance produced by ShowMe is really attractive.
