Beginner with Panasonic DMC-LC43
I just received my first digital camera via an internet vendor, a Panasonic DMC-LC43. We charged up the battieries, were all ready to take a picture and, lo and behold, there is no image on the LCD monitor.
Am I stupid? Did I miss something? The menu and setup display works fine.

The power is on, the status indicator is green, the screen is blank except for the square spot AF.

The camera takes the picture. When you put it to review, it prints" please wait," then shows "review 1x" but there's no picture to see.

I’m sorry to say that does not sound very good…. .. Without being familiar with the actual camera there is little more I can think of.. Accept maybe if you live near a best buy or compusa stop in and look at there floor model .. And maybe you will be lucky enough to get a sales person that’s familiar with this model ….. But my gut instinct is you have a problem that will require returning the unit .. sorry that I can not provide you with a definitive answer … good luck at let me know how you resolve it

I have a DMC-FZ1 and there is a "Display" button on the back to switch between the LCD monitor and the viewfinder. I have to hit it twice to switch - it goes between LCD w/details, LCD w/out details, viewfinder w/details and viewfinder w/out details.
